    Hi Douglas,
Cool pose, nice exposure and nice fg/bg colors.
Your image needs a good amount of CW rotation imo.

Agree about the rotation, but apart from that , a cracker. One of my favourite birds.(Not photographed yet though and maybe never will)

Fun behavior you captured here in nice muted light. Your image needs quite a bit of CW rotation.

I don't understand your question, Doug. If you look at your bird, you can see that it's slanting downward which means it is in need of clockwise rotation.

Your RP is an improvement, but the stilt is still headed downhill. I used the crop tool on the legs and their reflection to get it straight. Her is what it looks like with the necessary crop after the rotation.

I think the need for rotation has been addressed and I would like to see you repost as per Marina's in pane 8.
I would have liked a bit more head turn towards us as well.
The pose is nice with a nice clean foreground and BG.
The whites lack detail in a couple of areas on the throat/cheek area and on the flank. I would see what you can recover there,
    Gail

I like the pose, calm water, ripples and Marina's repost levels the image perfectly. Nice image Douglas.
