Wow !! Now that's an impressive looking bird ! Not too sure about all the foliage in front of the bird but I suppose it does tell a story of what sort of environment you find them in. Beautiful eye and great sharp image otherwise !

Beautiful image, Fabs. The color is great. I think the cypress conifers frame your subject well and that background is magical. Quite a dreamy feel to this image - love it!

Yes Fabs, this is really good, one of my favourites between your excellent images. This one has an almost magical quality like if you took it borrowed from a fairy tale. Love the light and shadows play, the strong contrasting colours and the nice pose. The OOF green stuff in the foreground helps to add an almost 3D quality and I really would love to have this one hanging on a wall in my home. Una preciosidad de imagen!!

I really love the light and I am glad that you have the green in the foreground. As a new member I have noticed many birds extracted from the environment, which can be good, but sometimes they look too much alike and you want some story in the photo also about the evironment.

What else can be said? Excellent work here, Fabs. I agree with Brutus, the foreground foliage adds a lot to this image.

Hey Fabs. The saturated colors here are stellar and I like the soft feel to this one. It's very painterly, and almost looks as if it were created with a pastel medium. Great job! Love it!

Prettiest image I have ever seen of a tri-color. One of the best I have seen of any bird for that matter.

    HI Fab,

Lovely pose and framing. I think the blues are too strong in the beak IMO, but love the colors and composition.

Simply beautiful. Colors and detail are excellent. Like looking through a soft, misty forest. Do you think having foilage behind and coming over the head rather in front or on both sides would have improved the image or been to much?

Great image here Fabs. As I've never seen one of these in real life I can't say too much about the colors (other than they are quite pleasing). I'm wondering if you applied a vignette to this in post or if this was how the light was at the time? It doesn't matter to me either way I'm just curious.

No vignette applied, product of full frame camera :)

Thanks, eveyone. I didn't mess with the blue lore, that 's how it got recorded in the camera. The light here was the key.
