Shot from a session I had with a family of these owls in the Summer, such good fun to watch with the antics they got up to, they really are inquisitive when starting to explore there new world. The fact that I was able to get on very good terms with these Owls after a lot of work, certainly makes my attempts at wildlife photography worth while.

Thanks for looking and your comments on my last post.

Whimsical pose with great details and clean complimentary back ground. Maybe clean up the bird droppings on the perch.

Great IQ and you sharpened just perfectly.
Love the BG and the soft diffuse light.

Hey Keith, your getting good at this now, love it.

The Winter wheat BKG really did come up trumps on this series of images, nice smooth and no mottling of colour. Although I'm away as you know, the IQ looks good, so does the sharpness & clarity.
Next time crank the ISO up to 2500 and take the DOF to say f/5.6 and see what happens, remember Mike's image. I would be cautions about the lower range, but with the D4 the world is your Oyster, go for it.

    Good work Keith.

Hi Keith.. this is cuteness overload...Love it..! IMHO could do with a touch of NR on the BG but thats trivial stuff...

Thanks a lot folks, pleased about the sharpening comments ,trying to keep the soft look of the feathers and still keep them sharp if you know what I mean.

    Cheers Keith.

Love these images that bring a smile to my face. The only thing I might suggest is a shadow/highlight pass which I just tried at 5 on the shadows and 0 on the highlights. What this did was open up the shadows around the eye sockets a little and a few other areas.

Hi! This is great! Everything like the background and sharpness and tone are all really good and it's also a different kind of pose, too. Congratulations!
