This owl could not have came at a more perfect time and perch. Almost full frame, slight crop.

Pretty sweet, Troy. The setting looks very much like from the image Mike posted recently.
Looks sweet for iso 4000. I'd may be sharpen the face and the perch a tad bit more.

What a wonderful opportunity you had. I love the BG and the perch.
I think you could sharpen this a bit more and maybe bump up the blacks in selective color to give the image a bit of contrast.
Pretty impressive image for ISO 4000,

Lovely perch and scene here, Troy. Agree on bumping the blacks here and your owl appears to need more sharpening.

The light is nice and a cool perch. Sweet pose and a curious expression. I am finding the bright spots in bg a little distracting. Could maybe tone them down a little.

    Hi Troy -

This is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. You did a great job finding a Barred Owl with no branches in the way. Wow!
I like the tones in this shot and Im really impressed you got this at ISO 4000!
It looks just a tiny bit soft though so maybe you could try sharpening it a bit.

    great job :-)
