    I never did get those amazing skies on my first trip to Bosque so I played around with some soft pastel colors against some Cottonwoods.

    6D, 17-40 f/4 at 40mm, .08s at f/14, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered, ISO 200, Tripod cropped to square format

    Hi Don.

    I like the pastel colours and gradients in lower half of this image, but IMHO, you have more sky than you need as I feel the colour gradients are a bit too subtle at the top for inclusion. As a result I feel the image is unbalanced as my eye wanders around the lower details but is not drawn up...

    As a 'by the way', I am happy to see a 6D image, its been on my list of 'possible' cameras for landscape use..

    Don, I agree about a crop off the top, but lovely "real" colors and image IQ.

    Hi Don, I love the soft colors and the trees reflecting...ditto on a crop from the top.
