I've always had trouble getting close to these guys, so I got excited when I found three of them in a tidal pool with pre-dawn light. They initially swam to the other side of the pond as I approached, but came back to my side after a few minutes.

    AIDAN:

The light was very nice here, soft, even. Nice sharpness with these settings, pleasant bg.

Only improvement would be to see it posted larger!

    Cheers

Very nice detail in the Merganser against the soft oof background. Nice low shooting angle and soft light.

Beautiful Aidan...really like how it draws your attention to the eye and bill.... lovely oof bg and fg. Wet crest adds to the dimension. I'm ok with the posted size.

Love the wet look, soft light, colors and low shooting angle. I'd move the bird just a tad further into the frame. Excellent image.
