Just registered and whilst been a keen photographer for last 4 years, I am still trying to get my head around all the bells and whistles of the cameras and and accessories.

So hope you don't mind me just being a taker of your knowledge as I am very much still a newbie

Welcome, Neil. I've noticed that as a sponge starts to get wetter (up to a reasonable point) it absorbs more readily. Wishing you good progress!
