Here's another white-on-white image, but this time with a bit of habitat and falling snow along the top to add some interest. Such powerful but graceful fliers!

Canon 7D + 100-400L @235mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1250s., f/6.3, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF (cropped for comp right and bottom), baited.

I like the wing/tail positions, exposure, IQ, shadow on snow, setting and composition. This image really shows the rabbit like feet. Stunning image Daniel!

Wonderful image Daniel. Amazing you stopped the action at 1/250

White on white is great and those yellow eyes cap it all off

Oops, typo...I've changed it to reflect the true SS of 1/1250s.

Such a beautiful bird Daniel..! and captured at its best...!! I like the BG with the hint of forest and the shadow to add context. My only wish would be to have the underside of the wing a little more defined from the BG to show the 'edge' of the bird. (I will admit however that my monitor is not as good as I wish.. maybe that's the issue) The top of the wing is defined by the darker markings. I would love to see this printed...

Gorgeous image. I enjoy seeing the context (trees in the distance).

Totally awesome Dan! I absolutely love the inclusion of the tree line and the falling snow, it takes this image to a level above the standard excellent snowy owl picture. Prefect composition too.

    Keep up the good work!

This one is simply wonderful. Love the distant trees, the snow, the shadow, and the stealthy owl.

Fantastic capture Daniel! Although I like the environment in this image, I liked a pano crop showing only white BG even better!

Perfectly composed to include the trees, which add a lot here. Love the shadow on the snow. Excellent pose too, but in an ideal world the right eye would be a tad more visible. You're nailing these!
