    Bill,

I really liked your precious Pintail in flight post, but this one is much better. The bank is great, but it's better that you got the head angle that you did.

The strip of land on the bottom is an added bonus, and the timing to get it so that the wingtip barely touches it is what I would want too.

Beautiful position, especially the tail spread and sharp focus on the head. This is extremely minor, but I'd actually like to see it with a bit less of the land at the bottom, taking about an inch of the crop. Again this is just my preference and doesn't in any way affect the beautifully captured bird.

This is just a killer pose with a perfect head angle to boot! My first gut reaction was for a bit less at bottom as per Bob's suggestion, but man o man this is quite a nice image!

Great image Bill! I like the banking pose, HA, visible tail, composition and sweet BG.

Love the flight position and the angle of the head. Great image.

Killer pose on this one, Bill, but I'd take a tad off of the bottom.

Excellent banking pose and great eye contact. Agree with a trim from the bottom. Whites look a tad hot. Beautiful details on this gorgeous bird.

Thanks everyone for your comments. It seems unanimous -- a little off the bottom. I'll fix the master. I hadn't wanted to make the proportions too squarish, but I agree that the image will be improved with a crop, maybe to take out a third of the ground bg.

I've briefly overcome my ongoing computer problems to post a revised version. Thanks for the suggestions.

Killer Flight Shot! Excellent position all around. I like the original crop, maybe a tiny bit less but that bit of background works nicely.
