    A huge puddle caused by heavy rains proved to be a good feeding ground for this cattle egret. Captured in Delaware last Friday.

    1/250, f6.3, ISO500

    I like the front facing catchwith all fours dangling! I do wish however for a better angle on the egret's head. I see a colour cast too.

    Daniel, Thanks for critiquing. I agree on the head angle. He never gave me a better one as he was being chased by another bird for the catch. May I ask what color cast you see so that I can correct it?

    Nice catch Grace! I to would like to see a better head angle. there seems to be a yellow cast on the bird

    good catch Grace.....I saw a great egret recently throwing a frog into the air and then catching it

    here is a slight color correction.....may look a bit different.

    Other than the head angle, as already noted, this is an excellent action image, Grace. The toad is not looking any too happy! The colors are better in Dave's repost.

    Very nice capture Grace. Good behavior shot. I didn't think they would eat anything that large.
