I took this image today at my backyard set-up. The BG is dried zebra grass and there was some light snow. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated

Very nice setup, Jim. Nice clean bg and love that perch. Techs are perfect and I love the perky pose. The icicles on the bird's head is my favorite part - I feel it adds a lot of character to the image. I like the oof falling snow, but I'd think about evicting the prominent ones, such as the one by your sig and the one URC. They pull the eye away from the bird imho. Excellent setup.

    Jim,

Wonderful shot. I've started seeing these guys in my backyard, but they never stay long enough for any shooting opportunities.

Great perch, lovely background with the snowflakes, and perfect exposure. Great detail in the feathers. The green in the branch and orange in the background add a subtle touch of color that I think helps make this image.

This is really a fine image, Jim. Love the color combination, the perch, the BG and the falling snow, and they all go so well with this bird. Maybe just a tad off of the right and a little more on top to balance.

Sweet image Jim... I agree some of the bigger snow flakes are a little dominant to my eye, but I rarely (=never...) see them in Perth Australia, so maybe that's the reason....

Nice detail and exposure control on this one Jim. Perfect pose and HA and I like the perch. I think there arent enough snow flakes to make it look like its snowing so I would remove them or add more. Just my thoughts. Well done

What a sweet junco image! Love the BG, snow, perch, details. Not always easy to get on a thin branch perch, and when they do they do not stay long on them (in my experience) therefore well done!

Really classy image of this male Jim. I think the warmer bg tones, excellent perch quality, and falling snow are standout features to the image. It does not hurt that the exposure is perfect and the bird posed sweetly too. I agree with Daniel that getting this species to perch on a slender perch like this is an accomplishment.
