One of my favorite ducks (I have lots of favorites, but this species gets my prize for the most elegant.) Taken at Brigantine last Friday. C&C always appreciated. Happy New Year to everyone at BPN!

    Bill,

Super image of one of your favorites. Love the perspective. The sense of lift, and especially like the iridescent red glow on the side of head.

I love everything about this one, light, wing position and you nailed the exposure in my opinion

The BG is the icing on the cake

Hey Bill, nicely executed image. Bg is great and the duck is sharp all around. Just wish the duck was angling towards you a smidge more.

    Looking forward to more!

Beautiful details, and quite an appealing BG!! Love the full upwards wing position. I do wish the subject was angling more towards you, but I also wish this was mine!

Nice flight shot. I also like this species. You took advantage of some nice light to get fine detail in your image. Great job.

Very nice shot of one of my favorite Ducks. I like the light and the full up wing position. Funny because I just got my best Pintail flight shot the other day and it is very similar to this killer shot. Well done

Thanks everyone. Yes, I did wish for a slight head turn. I got some other frames with nice wing positions where the bird was just past me, or angled away, but few with him looking my way. Next time I'll pay more attention to where they are flying TO, not FROM, and position myself to get a better angle.
