    LOI:

    Good job making lemonade.

The near wing displays well, well exposed, like that the head is clearly seen, no merge.

It is amazing that those tiny feet do the job for them!

I could see several crops with this. I like the posted one, but could see a tighter version with same overall proportions, and also a loose horizontal version as well.

    Cheers

I like the perch and pose, the KF is sharp but doesn't show much detail though, was it a big crop? if not I would crop tight to show more details

happy new year to you too

Fun image with a nice pose and perch. How awesome had the far wing matched the near one.

Excellent image, Loi. I like the placement of kingfisher in the frame, landing pose and composition.

WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, A VERY HAPPY, PEACEFUL AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2014.

    Regards,
    Satish.

I like the pose and the comp with the KF high in the frame. Nice work.

Thank you everyone for your comments. much appreciate it.

Arash, this is a large crop, about 30% of the FF image, so I don't think I can crop more without degrading the IQ.

These guys are just small and getting closer is a must.

    Happy New Year!

    Loi
