Default Weekly Theme: On Frozen Pond

    Hello all my peeps!!!

So glad you seem to be enjoying this theme, ice and snow are a favorite of mine.

we are still out on our trip, on our way slowly home. I have a nicely healing but very painful incision in my thigh.

i have quite a few to enter in this theme, but we've been short on time or signal....

so here is one and I will comment on more tomorrow.

i don't remember my specs on this, but PP just now on the IPad was contrast and saturation that's it.

    handheld, no flash.

Taken last January in North Carolina after a freeze enough to put a shimmy of ice across the top.

    thanks for playing everyone!

Great color palette and diagonals, and the leaf in the upper right is a very effective spark.

The reflected colours and the blues are beautiful Linz. And the red is the accent. Like the directional flow too. Glad to hear your healing.

Nice capture of the those fine lines of the ice forming. I like the way the blues transition to the yellow-greens and up to that single red leaf!

    Glad you are healing.

Agree with the others relative to the color palette and diagonal lines. I also like the smooth glassy texture.

Thanks to all.... We will be home on the 5th and I will get back into posting things as quick as I can.... I miss this place and all of you!!!

much appreciative of all the comments, this was a special place and scene I captured.

the leaves were very strange shapes and colors as many were Lilly pads going dormant, and the pond because of the vegetation underneath was various shades of blues, yellows, greens along with many reflections.

like I said, ice is a favorite of mine to shoot but this shot is a favorite for sure.

Lovely textures and colors and patterns. The diagonal flow is quite effective. Hope the healing continues and that the pain goes away.
