    Laughing Gull VS Reddish Egret

    Canon 500m f4 L is
    1d Mark IV
    Tripod
    1/5000 sec
    F 7.1
    ISO 640

    The Laughing Gull stole the shrimp from the Reddish egret and flew away. The Reddish Egret tried to attack the gull, but didn’t feel like flying after him.

    This is a pretty interesting behavior capture you have here. Your egret is nice and sharp and you have a great angle. Love the breeding plumes, shrimp and sharp eye. The only thing I wish for here is that we could see the gull's eye. I think that would have given the image more power.

    I second Marina's excellent critique. A cool encounter, but it's exponentially less likely to get everything right in a frame like this.
