    Default Zebras

Hello, I apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience I may be causing as I am trying to learn how to upload photos to this site. Taken with a Nikon D7000, 18-200mm lens, ISO-100. Taken at Wildlife Safari in Winthrop, Oregon. I would like to have this image critique if you have the time. Thanks...Terry Johnson

(I moved this thread to ETL from General Photography)

Hi Terry- I like the design of the image a lot, with the three animals forming the almost symmetric pattern. Colours look good and I like the light. I like the way the two righthand animals have their heads "cocked". Too bad the one on the left did not cooperate! With two of the three animals facing right, I would crop some off the left to cut the negative space there and emphasize the two right hand animals and deemphasize the left one. Also I would lighten up the image a little and give the face of the centre animal a little dodge to brighten up.

This is really quite good, Terry. The formation really works here. If the zebra on the left had cooperated just a tad more and looked your way, this would have been an even stronger image!!!
