    Great catch, Stuart. I don't think I've seen that red shoulder so well portrayed before. I also like the over-the-shoulder look. Might have wished for a natural perch, but you take what they give you.

    A lovely red-shouldered hawk, Stuart. The display of its feather coloration is superior to most similar images. Well exposed, and a great head angle. A more natural perch and softer background would have made this a killer!

    I'm not a great fan of birds on an unnatural perch, but would not have hesitated to take the shot of this bird under the same circumstances. Well done.
