Default Adobe Bridge, BreezeBrowser & Windows 8.1

I have windows 8.1 on my laptop. When I import images from Breezebrowser into Bridge I do not see the thumbnail images, only blue squares with the image number. When I double click on a blue square I get a box telling me that my camera is not supported. It is supported and I have no trouble with Breezebrowser and windows 7 home premium. What do I need to do to see the image photo in Bridge? Adobe was not helpful as they say they only support CC. I have PS CS5. I want to be able to process images when I travel with my laptop. I really, really need help! Thanks!

The CC strikes!! I am afraid that I don't have an answer....but a question, Nancy, what do you mean "I import images from Breezebrowser into Bridge"? I use both browsers (win 7) and I just browse to my images with both browsers?

I have Breezebrowser set up to send my Raw images to Bridge through the "edit" command in Breezebrowser.
After much poking around and looking for a work-around, I updated Adobe applications manager and for some reason everything now works! I don't understand but I'll take it!

Peter, Lightroom is a possibility. Can you compare several images side by side as you can in Breezebrowser?

Nancy, did you get set up to bypass bridge in BBP? I sent you a pm on it.

..how about like this. Two up to whatever will fit on the screen. You can zoom equally on all and switch the select and candidate.

Peter & Diane, thanks for the examples of Lightroom. That is what I mean.
Dan, thanks for the instructions on bypassing Bridge. Family is arriving in a few days and I'm a little behind in my computer time . It will probably need to wait until the new year now.
