Though I hope to be photographing for quite a while longer, and I am good health, I published something of a career-retrospective slide program on the blog two days ago. You can read my comments, learn about what a blessed life I've had, and see the slide show by clicking here.

A great and diverse showcase Artie on what we perhaps take for granted on this small planet, nature is a wonderful thing.

Thank you Mr. Morris for allowing me to post here and making this such a helpful website for me. I hope to have a long career as a nature photographer like you. Here's a quote my Dad gave me that I use to remember how sometimes photography can help nature.

"Beauty and seduction, I believe, is nature's tool for survival, because we will protect what we fall in love with." - Louie Schwartzberg

I have to say the image of the two herons at the nest caused me to smile with nostalgic appreciation. Long may you keep clicking Arthur.

Thanks for your reply Artie! Those are amazing lenses indeed, I have the 500 II and the 100-400 L, planning to sell the 100-400 and get the 70-200 II lens ans use it with extenders, so I will have at least ONE of your three favourites with me :-)
    cheers

You are welcome Sanjeev. I loved the 500 II when I owned it and it may very well replace the 600 II for me as I continue to get older :). I hope!

A great collection of powerful shots! BTW, can you ask Peter to make you a FLASH version where it will expand each image as you mouse over it???
