Image taken from my back garden hide, I had to do a little doctoring, I will let you see the image for what it is worth, then I will tell you what I did, though I suspect I will be rumbled in no time!

The colors here are absolutely amazing, as is the perch, the lichen, the BG. My only wish, and I am sure yours as well, is that both wings were up. The bird seems a bit off kilter.

Fantastic color, great perch, and top-notch detail. Agree with Marina about wanting that other wing up.

Beautiful work, Jon. I agree it would be nice to have the other wing up, but what a nice image with the IQ, colors, BG and perch choice. Congratulations.

Jonathan looked hard at this and can't really see anything apart from the bit of the other wing that looks a bit odd but perhaps that is how it should be, the rest of the image looks spot on!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, the bird looks a little off kilter because the branch is very light so as it tries to launch the branch gives way.

Gorgeous colors and impeccable processing, Jon. While I agree that both wings up would've been awesome, I'd take this in a heart beat.

I'll be the odd man/woman out and say I like it as is. It's a very natural pose depicting the precarious balance on such a thin perch. I'm a little off-kilter myself sometimes, so maybe that's why I like it as is. ;) Lovely colors, light, and background as well.

Thank you everyone, the doctoring apart from the obvious crop was to add canvas and I also made a wing tip for the first primary feather, I used one of the others and transformed it to the correct size and orientation.
