Default Theme - The Old Barn

Been quite a while since I posted a picture of the old barn. I had done this photo back in July, but had never gotten around to posting it.

Processing consisted of converting to B&W with Silver Efex Pro, adding a blur overlay over the whole image, blurring the edges of the image more, and then adding three textures(two from Shadowhouse and the other one I forget where I got it from). Each texture was converted to B&W to remove the color.

I really like the shape and general character of the barn, and the gradient in tones from bottom to top of the vegetation. You captured some great clouds which contribute nicely to the range in textures in the original photo. The texture along the left and right edges not only help to guide the eye but act as stops to keep it within the image.

Christopher, I think Dennis covered all of the fine points of the image. I like this perspective of the old barn a lot. Nicely done

This certainly looks like a photo found in someone's attic! You created wonderful aged edges and scratches. I really like the detail of that piece of wood falling apart from the window.

I like how my eye goes from bottom to top, dark to light. I really like the light on the side of the barn and the textures are terrific Christopher.

Nice work. I like the foliage at the bottom of the picture, the composition and the excellent texture work.
