I love shorebirds too and you've captured this one beautifully. Nice light and bg. Love the raised foot - it makes up for the fact that the other foot isn't showing. Nice details and eye contact as well.

Lots of shorebird lovers here (my favorite family of birds to photograph), you're in good company! Nice soldier-like walking pose. Good low angle and details. Rather tight in the frame though, especially above...if you have canvas to add back up there (and at right to retain the ratio) that would be great.

Nice work to get this little guy so large in the frame. Processing looks good and there would be no harm done in seeing what this would look like with added canvass or less of a crop if it was cropped.

Nice looking shot. I like the pose with the raised foot and the HA looks great. The exposure control looks perfect and the colorful BG is very nice. Well done

Holger I like the size of the bird in the frame and the raised foot almost marching pose is great, agree a little more at the top would be good, super image.

Hi Holger, nice and sharp, and well exposed on the whites. The walking pose with the raised foot takes this up a few notches, and I like the darker BG. I agree, a little more on top wont harm the image.

Im going on holiday where there will only be shore birds, as I dont have them where I live.

Thank you all for the kind words and feedback.

It is not a big crop but a little more at the top is no problem.
