    Default Rufous-tailed hummingbird in mid-air

    Last month I had a blast. Simply put I drained the power of my batteries due to an extensive multi-flash session! and I am not complaining about it, just thinking how one can go for hours non-stop when doing this kind of photography.

    For this one I used

    300f/4@f/11+MarkIV+four speedlites+ISO640+1/200sec+Tripod+shutter release+pretty much straight out of the camera.

    Beautiful image Juan! I like the flower, pose, fanned tail, BG, IQ and composition. I can almost hear the noise he makes when he comes flying in quick and hits the brakes
    . Hope to see some in five weeks.

    From my limited experience with trying this, I´ve found getting the birds to come to the props is a big part of the challenge. So congratulations on getting that part working, and the nice photo.

    Nice setup shot of this hummer Juan. What a cool pose with the raised tail and the feet showing. Great detail and I like the flower and the BG you chose. Well done.
