Another cool bird from our country, well it is a neotropical bird indeed.

I have to go back to the forest and find the beautiful and less barred famale, may be next month. I have to admit that when I first saw this guy though my binacs I thought about a zebra!

Thanks for your kind comments and time.

    Have a great Sunday. :)

Great looking bird on a very nice BG Juan ,I think you have also made a very good job of the composition, very nice indeed.
I followed the call of one of these birds on a recent trip to Tobago thinking it was the call of a Falcon only to find this bird making the call, we live and learn!

    A beautiful image.
The diagonal perch looks great. The position of the shrike is excellent.
I like the way the BG transitions into a darker green but wonder if desaturating the greens ever so slightly would make the antshrike pop a bit more.

Way cool bird, and a first for me. Perch, comp, BG, raised crest all excellent. Not sure if there is a cyan cast on the plumage or not?

cool shot Juan Carlos. Never seen one of these before.
Nice pose and perch. I feel the green of the BG does overwhelm the image a bit and could maybe be toned down.

Stunning bird, perch, and BKGR. Was this image created at a set-up?

Really nice. I wondered about the setting too as it is so nice. Great detail and colors.

Thanks. We ask that folks let everyone know in their original post if they are working at a feeder or if the bird was attracted into photographic range with food or audio. Please do so in the future. Thanks.

Brilliant image of a brilliant looking bird. I enjoy all aspects of the image and agree with every compliment offered so far. The perch quality and characterstics are particularly appealing.
