    Default Running in the rain

Photographed this whitetail buck running on a gloomy rainy day last month.. Buck was getting to close for my 800mm but I managed to get him all in the frame. Using the center FP gave me a nice comp with the buck running into the frame.

Hi Dale, love the tones and soft colours in this one, the failing rain just adds to the atmosphere on this one. Nice sharpness & clarity in the subject, juxtapose with the OOF grass at the foot. Sorry, meant to say Dale, would have like a tad more space to the left.

Hope you are enjoying the 1DX.

Hi Dale - I agree this works a treat. Lovely tones, excellent sharpness and the rain just takes it up a notch.

Yes a bit more space on the left and perhaps a little ccw rotation, but both would require more canvas all around and you don't have that since you were squeezing into the frame with the 800. Colour palette is great and you avoided over-contrast which is great.

Nice one Dale. Pose and falling rain make it a pleasure to view, as do the colours and "just right" contrast.
I too felt it needed a little on the LHS but surely do understand your limitations here.

    Hi Dale,
neat image of this fine species.Like the running pose with the exhausted look in his face.
Tonality is looking good and the falling rain is adding interest to the frame.
Color can not comment , because you should embed a color profile into your images.
Makes it easier to judge colors.
All around too tight for me, i mean all sides apart from RHS.

Fantastic shot. Wonderful light and colors. I like the movement of the legs and the raindrops. One of the best shots of this species that I've seen.

Super shot Dale. Great IQ & light and love the colour tones as well as the movement of the animal into frame.
