    Default Dark Eyed Junco

Edit: sorry meant Dark Eyed Junco, fixed thread title

It snowed all day here so the feeders were full. I caught this guy on the perch I have setup.

    1/125, f/5.6 ISO400 Canon 5D Mkii w 400mm

Photoshop CC, curve to tone down BG, Nik Dfine on the BG, Detail Extractor on the bird, selective sharpening on the bird.

Good detail. Love the streaking snow in the background. I'd like to see a crop that gives a little more space in the direction the bird is looking for comparison.

Looks good to me! You don't say it's a crop -- if it is, I'd consider a rotation to give more angle to the perch (or do that next time in camera if the bird's posture will permit). Diagonals always give a dynamic element to an image. The snow adds to that!

Way sweet shot! I would try what Diane suggested. Otherwise, no nits! Love these little ones!

Thanks for the feedback. I've been busy lately but I want to try out the suggestions made, especially the rotation of the perch.
