Not sure if this belongs here, but thought it was different. Great egret trying to get a better look at me, this is the underside of its head, no wonder they can spear a tiny fish with such precision. Isnt nature awsome

What a terrific image! Holy smokes but that had to make you happy when you saw it! Good BG, super whites, great detail. I love it.

Great work, Dan! I really like this image a lot, I think you could a lot more impact if you darkened up the background a bit. Great eye contact :D

Ok, I couldn't help myself!! :D I really like this image, so I spent a little time with it. Blurred the background and darkened it up as I mentioned.

    Blake,
Thanks for the rework, looks a lot better. I will have to go back and try to rework the Tiff for myself and see if I can get anything close to yours. Thanks for puuting the time into this and thanks to others for comments. I was indeed pretty excited to see that i did capture this.

I was going to suggest a little more contrast, I see that Blake did it in the repost. Great pose, I love to photograph them from under to get the eyes like that. Good going!

great shot and rework. It really shows the predator eye positioning and the fat that they can see below the beak. Perhaps this should be in below the beak instead of out of the Box. I have not see any postings from you in the post processing out of the box lately. You are missed.
