    Default Snowy Owl at Mall

I spend 2 hours walking the beach looking for snowy owls earlier in the week and could not find one that would let me get closer than 70 yards. But, yesterday, I saw this one near a mall who did not mind people people at all. It was sitting on a post so I decided a portrait would be fine.

Sweet. Nice exposure, lovely BG, good to get the eyes open (he was probably taking a nap). I love the way the feathers cover the bill. Amazing where these guys are popping up.

Too bad you were unable to capture one at the beach in all the environment, but glad you were able to find this cooperative bird. You did well with exposure and have plenty of feather details. Considering the strong light, you did well getting his eyes open this much. Lovely BG.

Although not good enough to post here.... my best sighting last year was in our local KFC parking lot!
