    Default Another Fish-eye Frogscape

Another Bullfrog image taken with the Sigma 15mm fisheye lens. This was an early morning scene in the wetland adjacent to the family cottage on Horseshoe Lake near Parry Sound, Ontario. The Bullfrog population here has declined considerably from what it was 30 years ago. Nonetheless there are 3-4 very cooperative fellows to be found each season...probably the same ones I photographed over the last few years.

This is straight out of the camera with only minor adjustments being made with Viveza 2.

Sigma f2.8 EX DG Fish-eye Lens
    ISO 800

    Live View
    Bubble Level

    Look forward to comments.

    Hi Andrew,
I like the composition of the shot - not dead centered and not too close. I believe if there would be no sky it would look to homogeneous - i.e. too green.
In my opinion i'd add (more) NR for the BG.

When seeing this picture another idea came to my mind:
A close up with the frog only but set so that you can clearly can see the reflection of the scenery inside the eye ?!
    Could look nice as well.

Andrew, I like it. Super sharp with a well balanced EXP. In a perfect world its left foot would have been atop the lily pad lrc....

Prefer this to your last - the eye level view is spot on. the only downside to having the frog larger and closer is that you lose detail in the bg which held interesting features in the last post.

Hi Andrew - Another excellent frog-scape. I like the comp and fish eye effect here too. I can see your reflection in the eye.

    Hi Andrew ,
as good as the other ones, like this one too.But i think it is a tad too dark for my taste.
I played a bit and lightened some areas.
    WDYT ?

    Hi Andrew, loving the series.

Taking onboard Andreas thought, you could just try moving the white slider in Levels to say 245, but add a mask and conceal the brighter side of the face cheek as the hotspots are blowing. Personally I might lose some of the brighter hotspots i.e. the white to the right, the yellow in the tree line, centre, but not a deal breaker.

Great work, especially shooting from a kayak!

Hi Andrew, love the fish eye effect, and the detail and colours on the frog stand out nicely. Sharp too.
