Same image as before but different processing. Not sure what all I did to it but I used different blend modes and only one texture. Then I took the composite into Color Efex and added a couple of filters including contrast as it was a bit washed out, and intensified the colors a little.

    Judy,

Greetings. It's interesting how the dark foliage framing the scene brings out a three dimensional look. Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

That inner glow makes me think something a little mysterious is happening in the forest...maybe wood nymphs dancing !

Hi, Judy, this one is a lot more mysterious and I like the way the darker foliage contrasts with the brighter center. I think I prefer the bright one, though.

Thanks Michael, Nancy and Cheryl! I like the red and blue colors in the first one but I like the mystical light in this one a wee bit better. It's fun playing with the "weird" blend modes and inverting textures! you never know what you are going to get!

Looks like there is a bonfire going on in there Judy. It reminds me of a linocut. Great mood created.

Thanks Jackie and Diane! Maybe I should have tried to insert a bonfire or flames in there. Not enough time...

While I like both of your images, I think I prefer this one. It looks like an old image, and I like how the green leaves show through.

Interesting how the different processing emphasizes different parts of the image, creating a totally different feel. Lovely light in the center here. I prefer the prior one, with those glowing leaves.

Hi Judy, this looks great...to me it looks like we are looking into a night-time forest with a camp fire burning.
