Default Gren Heron Near My Home

Last Tuesday I was supposed to have a meeting after work. Well, it was canceled - broke my heart I took advantage of the opportunity to go to a wetlands a few minutes from my home. This green heron was out. I managed to get a few images.

1DMK2 with 500 F4 and 2X TC. Evaluative metering with EV +2/3 at ISO 100 and F8 with 1/100. This is a 50% crop. Levels and sharpening applied. I know the beak tip is a bit OOF :(

Thanks for looking. All Comments most welcome.

Very nice habitat image. I like the soft light and agree regarding the bill tip. Maybe a bit CW rotation.

    Hi Ed,
Agree with CW rotation..............I would be tempted to crop some of the BG and left after that proportionally.........to minimize some of the hot spots.........while still showing environment.
