Hello everyone Newbie from Scotland
Hello everyone
I have recently started this great hobby and still finding my way
I am from Fife in Scotland.
I recently bought a Canon 7D and a Sigma 150-500 lens, my last camera being a Canon 1100D with a tamron 70-300 lens
There seems to be so much to learn on this subject and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached a photograph, and would love some advice on how to better myself and my photographs,
Thanks

Hello and welcome to BPN, William! You've certainly come to the right place to learn. You'll get lots of good advice here.
I inserted your image into your post so people don't have to click the link. You can do that by going to your photo in flickr and click on the share button. Then click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode," go to BBCode, and copy the code there. Then in your post here on BPN, you should see the Insert Image button(it's the one with a picture of a tree on it). Click that and then paste the code.
Looking forward to seeing more of your photos!

Welcome to BPN William!! You've come to the right place for constructive critiques on your images. You can check out the Eager to Learn forum or jump right in to Avian if you're feeling more comfortable. Looking forward to your participation :-)

Hi William, nice to see more people crossing the pond and joining here.
If Avian photography is what you like to shoot you have come to the right place, and don't be shy if you have any question, just fire away.

Like your attitude William, cool
, but you need to post the image in the Avian Forum, as this is purely for introductions. It's the first Forum under Critique Forums as you scroll down.
This may help you, however certain posting guidelines have changed ie sizing. It's best to take advantage of posting bigger, max width is 1200px wide, 900px high max 400kb.

William, there maybe a glitch, will flag it up, it's happened before, just sit tight and see what tomorrow brings.
Thanks

William, the reason you can't post an attachment is because only paying members can use BPN's hosting service. However, you can still post images by putting them on Flickr or another hosting website and inserting them into your post like I described above. Or if you are so inclined, you can become a paying member. Hope this helps.
