Definitely impressionist! It makes a great abstract with the diagonal created by the mottled golden colors and those very cool blue streaks wiggling up the left side!

Clever idea about making a texture instead of using one. I couldn't help trying it out as a texture on itself after a 180-degree rotation and was happy with the results. Just seeing the changes with different blend modes was educational.

Kerry, it's a beautiful impressionistic texture
I think it stands nicely on its own but I would probably crop from the top and eliminate the darker blue in the water a little to the right of center. Lovely work.

Thanks guys! Dennis, I'm glad you had a play with it and what you did was exactly something I was thinking about doing with the image - using it as a texture on itself rotated! You make me feel smart.
