    Default A Snow Goose

Just finished co-leading a successful Bosque workshop with Greg Basco and Keith Bauer. I ran into Artie & Denise, Mike Milicia, and Chris Dodds while scouring the refuge. Here's one of my favorite Snow Goose images from the trip. A good BG makes all the difference in the world!

    Doug:

Nice full down wing position with flared primaries, slight angle towards us, and the smooth dark bg does really show off the goose.

    Excellent

    Cheers

Hi Doug, no doubt you were coming away with lots of keepers, and you certainly nailed this flight pose. Excellent exposure, sharp, and overall well placed in the frame. Yep, those BG colours are awesome, and having a white subject sets them off even more. I think any subject would do well on that BG.

And that's an awesome bg! Beautiful image, technically perfect. All the details in the whites of the bird are drool worthy.

Good background - yes and the foreground isn't too bad either Doug! Excellent pose and exposure.

Wow, the BG fits to the white goos. I love this contrast. Great wingposition, details and exposure.

The muddy feet sticking out the back add just the right amount of humor. Bird and background totally sweet.

Great looking shot of this Goose Doug. The pose, exposure and feather detail look very nice and I like the BG color also. Your right about a nice BG!! All the difference. Nice work.

The BG is "to die for".
    IQ and whites are superb.
Love the little bit of mud on the feet and the perfect wings down position,
    Gail

Spectacular Flight shot. Love the great details in whites, and way it pops up against wonderful BG.

Excellent image Doug. Your exposure is spot on and I love the flight pose. The bird placement and comp are perfect for my taste and the bg is extra special. Like the angled light here. Wish I could make it there this year.

This is such a fine image, Doug. Techs and wing position are very strong, but it's the BG that really makes this image so special.
