    Default Theme Ideas?

We would love to hear your ideas for upcoming bi-weekly themes. They can be fun, they can be educational, seasonal, something to expand our comfort zones, some technique to be explored...be free in your thinking and let the ideas flow! You can post them here. Thanks!

    Nancy,

Greetings. A few ideas or things I've liked over the years:

    Reflections
White space or subject very small in frame
Creative use of depth of field
    Geometry
Panorama aspect ratios 2:1 or greater
    Fog
    Blurs or long exposure
    Dominant lines
    Painterly
    Rule of thirds, Not!
    The edge matters
    Creative use of saturation, desaturation
Creative lighting - storm lighting, spotlights, painting with light...
Shadows (during a short day season is best)
    IR actual or processed
Creative multi-shot merge, multiple exposure or other multiple image method
    Water
    OOB
    tilt shift miniaturation or facsimile

Ha, almost all of these I've done here or elsewhere. ;-)

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Some great ideas there, Michael! Here's a couple more I thought of:

Something New - Photographing something new to you, or using a technique you've never used before
    Extreme close-ups

Whew -- enough great ideas here for the rest of the century! Glad I'm not making the decisions.

Hey, this is great! Don't be shy if you have an idea that has been simmering in the back of your mind. Or saw something that caught your interest.

Christopher, that also makes me think of silhouettes and graphic images.

Thanks again everyone for your creative thoughts and contributions.
