    Taken in my local woods at a feed station,cannon500mm L IS F4,7D,tripod,cropped,sharpened for web,touch of denoise in BG,iso800,F4,1/320S.Thanks for looking.

    Classic nutty pose.The season is certainly here for these - had 5 on the garden this morning.Must get the old triopod set up on the window sill !!
    Great shot. They are superb birds ar t this time of year for coulour and feather detail.

    Judging by your techs, it was late or overcast but your shot turned out very well. Nice detail in the face and I like the overall colors and tone to this. What a classic pose. Nice one.

    Very nice Christopher!

    The pose is great, and you nailed the focus on this guy. I might clean up the eye just a tad, especially round the catchlight.

    While more dof would have been preferred, the settings you chose seem to be spot on for the lighting that you had.

    Excellent pose and lighting but it appears to me that the production has been a bit heavy handed.

    Thanks for looking and comments,Adrian,I don't understand your comment heavy handed,I have only done what I have said in my description,which I don't think is heavy handed,but thanks for looking and comment.

    This is sweet. I love the light.
    The nuthatch pose is classic and always well received by all of us.
    I do wish the perch didn't have the OOF bit but still like the image very much. The techs are spot on with the 7D and I understand the choice of ISO and aperture but it sure would have been great to be able to get a higher aperture.
    I would take a bit off the bottom to get rid of the sticking out OOF branch stump,
