You have lovely light and a nice pose. The water drop really adds to this nice image. Nice low POV
I would crop a bit off the bottom to just above your signature.
I would remove the second faint catch light in the eye and see if you could get a bit more detail out of the blacks in the raised foot and bill.
    Nice shot,

I think Gail summarized it all pretty well. I definitely think a little off the bottom (and possible a 16:9 crop) would be good. The second catchlight is an easy fix, too.

I like the low perspective for this one

I like the raised foot and the wet beak. It looks a bit dark on my screen, would increase brightness

Hi Holger, super low angle of capture, and captured in soft light - ( although I too, feel its a little too dark - easily fixed ) I like the pose with the raised foot, together with the colour of the water. The large falling droplet takes this up a few more notches. Another vote for taking off the bottom.

Pleasing shorebird image. The pose is excellent, the water droplet is a detail I love the capture but rarely do this well...nice seperation of the droplet from the water and the bird's bill....Nice bit of water movement here too. Another vote cast for going brighter here, but selectively protect the brightes whites as you do, particularly on the throat.
