Well I keep up the pressure, though I have to deal with less than satisfactory light.
Every day brings unbroken sunshine from dawn to dusk. The Owl was ouit bright and early surveying the area from on top of the Oak stump

Nice BG and I like the side lighting.
I would like to see this as a landscape with a lot taken off the bottom to minimize the size of the perch.
    Nice IQ.

    Good one Richard.
Must agree the crop has me thinking too. Can't make my mind up. The stump does seem to dominate but thats the way it was .

Heres a quick horiz cropped from jpeg and canvas added, so you can see the horiz suggestion quickly
too late to redo from the cr2 tonight, but should get the idea. The OP was cropped from horiz so plenty to work with later

The RP works for me Richard, agree one of your best and in a natural setting too, just perhaps drop the Blue a bit.

Richard came back for another look and still go for the original post but it's very interesting to see others points of view.

It's interesting to see the different crops. Very nice capture and a nice looking owl you have, Richard.
