    I was on duty this afternoon at the Hide at RSPB Belfast Harbour Reserve and arrived to find young lapwing chick being rescued from falling down drain on road. Observant guy had seen the mother looking through grate and he went to see what the problem was. It ended happily!!

    These birds were not the parents and were sparring with each other all afternoon.

    Hi Peregrine,
    i like the action. In the ideal world a slight head turn right by the rear bird would have been an added bonus. A litle room from the left would IMO emphasize the chase to the right!

    Nice action shot Craig. I agree with Roman's suggestions (take some off the left, add a little to the right). Not sure what these birds look like in real life, but they might benefit from a slight saturation boost. Also, please try to post complete technicals on your photos. Thanks for sharing!

    Like the action and seeing the birds from above, sharpness is great too. Agree with Roman's suggestion re placing of birds in the frame.
