Look who's king of the tiny snow mound and quite proud of it!! Same individual as yesterday's post...just a few minutes and feet apart. Seeds strewn on the ground just left of the frame.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/5.6, ISO 800 (again lots of blinkies in the snow), natural light, handheld, almost FF (85% FF), darkened pupil, lowered highlights in shadows/highlights selectively on the snow.

That is a very neat image with the fresh snow. Love the tones of grey and white and the pink! Well done.

Such a cute pose. The exposure is beautiful. Do you recall how much light you added to get this exposure? (I almost always use spot metering.)

Daniel I love the way these birds stand out against the snow perhaps it's the grey plumage that blends so well, very nice sharp and detailed bird.

Another wonderful shot. In addition to darkening the pupil (which you did already) I would suggest slightly brightening up the light areas around the eye. I did it to show you what I mean. Perhaps I went too far?

What a sweet image of this proud little junco. Proud indeed, look at that pose! Exposure work is solid. I can see a gigantor dust sensor spot an inch above the bird's bill.....
