More for interest really. These birds have to put their tail up their backs whilst brooding eggs in their bottle shaped nest and when they come out to drink or bathe etc it stops stuck up for a short while. This bird was nesting yards from my little pool so I was able to grab one shot before the tail went down again !!.

This shot shows why I hate reflections. You either leave them all in or they get cut off like this one. Leave them all in and you end up with a small subject in the image..
Go any lower and it makes it worse.
(and the hide fills with water ) No field craft to this stuff - just sit and wait all day ! )

Thanks for comments on my last post.

Hi Johnny, well timed to capture the raised tail - looks great like that. Well exposed on the little guy, with the finer plumage showing up nicely. A vertical comp was the only way to go, but a little tight on the left. I presume you didnt have any more space or else you would have shown it. I would run some NR on the BG.

Interesting picture Johnny. It looks like its holding it tail up with its wings. I could imagine it with a comedy caption on a card. Very nice image overall.

A cheeky pose and I'll also chirp in with a suggestion to run a round of NR on the BG.
