Great low angle and the morsel adds a lot. Raising the lens up just a bit would be better IMO.
Love the muddy worm and the sharpness. Does anyone know why Alan's suggestion above is a good one?

Well, if I was the one shooting this plover I would have wanted to loose the reflexion on the water and by doing so I would also end with visible feet so I guess that's what I would do.
But don't get me wrong, I like this image as presented, and yes, that muddy worm adds a lot to the image.
I like the low angle as is but tilting the lens upwards an inch or so would have placed the plover a little lower in the frame by giving more room above. Love the prey item and overall muddy beach setting. Do wish for a tad better HA which would have illuminated even better with the light from the slight left. I'm already missing fall migration shorebird photography!!
Great shooting angle & muddy food item. TFS
Hi Holger, lovely low angle, and love the soft light. I like the curled feather, overall nice and sharp, and the muddy worm meal puts this up a few notches.
Yep, raising the lens would take away some of the FG - the tiny bit of leg reflection is a touch distracting. Having raised the lens. cropping from the bottom to just above the water reflection wont harm the image. Only if you stood higher, would you see the feet.![]()
#1: You would need to be in a helicopter to see the feet as they are in a muddy depression. Alan suggested raising the lens a bit not pointing it up more. I am pretty sure that he suggested that so that the line between the darker BKGR and the light blue water would not intersect with the head. Perhaps Alan will chime back in here.

Thank you for all comments and tipps to make the Image better.
the bird was very quickly. In one moment on the left hand and in next moment on the right Hand. I pursued the bird a Long time in the mud.
And suddenly he has a worm and devoured the worm within two seconds. There was no time to look to pay attention to the habitat.
cropping from the bottom, hmmm, i think i remove the leg reflection with photoshop
Great low angle and BQ.
