At this location, the Egyptian Geese like to have their fly arounds an island where the herons and egrets nest. I managed to capture this guy as he flew against distant pine trees. I quite liked the darker BG.

    Stuart

The slight angle towards us really helps, as does the full down pose, colorful eye, and dark background.

    Well done.

    Cheers

Wonderful shot. Great wing position, and everything else. The green BG puts it over the top.

Hi Stu, nice one, like the rich, glossiness of the black wings.

This is a very rich image of this species in flight. I enjoy the darker bg colors and tones. The technicals of the image cannot be better imo. Great job with the exposure too Stuart.

I am usually not a big fan of the wings half down pose but with the bird angling slightly towards us I really like it. Sharp, perfect EXP. All in all a powerful image.

Killer image, Stu. Love the rich whites and glossy blacks. IQ is top notch and the bird just pops against that bg. Late to the party, but I'm glad I stopped by :)
