    Default Marsh Wren

Another vertical crop. Taken today at a local park. I was calling a song sparrow and this bird came out to check things out. Hope you like it.

7D, 500 mm @ f/8, 1/1600, ISO 800. HH, cropped vertically and a bit off the top. Some cloning work for comp.

    Comments and critique welcome.

Very nice looking pose, HA, perch and BG on this shot. The exposure and detail looks great and I like the comp you chose. Well done.

I like the composition and your PP cloning work is excellent.
The image shows how small these birds are.
    Good IQ and light.
    I like it!

Very nice. I enjoy the well controlled background, subject pose (classic wren), (perfect head angle), and overall pleasing composition. I wish the cattail head were not cut off on the bottom of the frame, even if that meant showing the subject smaller in the frame. One consideration would be boost the blacks here, for just a little more punch.

Yeah, this bird is small, and was very close to me...

Thanks for your feedback. I will try adding black to it Shawn using a selective color layer. That may be good. I would like to have more of the cattail head also. But i was using the central single focus point and had no choice ...

    thanks again

I really like the pose and that different perch with a lovely smooth Bg but the bird itself does look a little soft on my monitor.
