A great image of a beautiful bird. I've never see one like this one. TFS

I would try a version with a few points of blue in a color balance layer... or it may be that the image does not have a profile embedded?

This is beautiful Matthew. I just want to know where the heck that light was when we were in Nome!!
I particularly like the detail in the blacks and whites. The IQ is superb.
Love the body turned slightly towards you and the visible feet.

If one did not already wish to join you on one of your Barrow excursions, this image would surely change that. Gorgeous bird! I like the slight slope that you photographed the bird on, and the way the grasses fade into the well controlled background. Those are some well exposed pretty looking blacks on the bird.

A female of this species showed up here in Ottawa a couple of weeks ago and caused quite a commotion among the local birding community, but nothing compares to this beautiful prime male in his breeding habitat!! Well done all around.

An almost seductive pose; however in saying that, I want to make it clear that I am not attracted to male ducks or female ones for that matter

    Sweet image Matthew.
