Looks like you have mastered the trap. One fine image. Love the clean BG and fine details captured.

A very cool set up you have to get these small birds in flight poses.
    Great to look at.

Hi Alan, an incredible flight pose - this shows off every bit of feather detail with the wings and tail fully 'extended' Well captured.

OK,so now you are just showing off!!
Love the wing and tail spread and the way the feather colors have a green hue that at first made me think it was translucence of the BG through the feathers but on second look appears to be the color in the feathers.
    Simply amazing,
    Gail

Incredible! Love how the tail is visible thru the wing feathers... and everything else too!

I guess the trap works, huh. Amazing shot with superb detail and wing position. These birds are so common at my feeder that I've almost stopped looking at them. I'll have to take another look.

Wow! Not sure you could have asked for a better wing, tail, or head position.

Looks like you are enjoying using that Phototrap after keeping it in the drawer for so long!

    85 1.2? or 85 1.4/1.8?

Another nice setup shot Alan. What a cool pose with the extended wings and tail and the open beak adds allot. Nice BG choice too. Well done

This is spectacular flight pose showing very highly accurate geometrical shape on wings and tail feathers.
I hardly follow any thing in your settings, but colors of backdrop are very nicely complimenting with bird's colors.
    Just love it. TFS.

    Regards,
    Satish.

You have photographed so many songbirds with this amazing backside view...it's practically trademark imo! I would have guessed this was one of your creations with only the image to go off of. Love the translucency in the wings and tail.

Alan you are the man! Does it get any better than that pose? I just love the lines and angles made by the wing feathers and the way they come together in the center not to mention the detail. Then top it off with the open beak... awesome
