Joaquin -- welcome to ETL! My first thought is the crop -- I'd like to see less on the bottom and more on the top and left, if you have it.

It's nice to see your adjustments in LR listed, and nice to see you using the Shadows and Highlights sliders -- they are amazing.

I don't know what color the bird should be but I like the warm, copper palette here. The sun seems to be at enough of an angle to bring out some detail in the feathers without causing dark shadows.

I'm in a hurry the next few days and sure others will offer suggestions, too.

Diane thank you for your help.
Below is the original uncropped and unprocessed image.
The original is RAW so this is just exported to jpg.

    Hi Joaquin,

The original seems overexposed but you´ve managed to preserve the detail in the bird. I don`t understand is why are you darkening so much the final image and cutting of the tail?
The image could benefit of a bit more luminosity and some "cleaning" for the smaler branches.

Thank you Luis, there is something wierd going on with how the forum is displaying the image. If you look at the thumbnail on the forum thread list the tail is not cut off.
This is a link to the first photo on flickr.

Let me see if I can figure it out and I will also clean some of the branches and lighten the image up a bit.
    Again thanks

    Default Cleaned up as suggested

Here it is with the branches removed and lightened up 1/3 of a stop.
Used the clone stamp in PS.

Hi Joaquin, welcome to this forum, must say in I much prefer your last image apart from the missing tail I think that with the image being darker adds more body to it.Looking at your original overexposed image and then again the vast improvement after you have worked on it just shows how you can save an image.

I'm seeing the entire image, with tail intact. The original and reposts seem very dark -- I wonder if your monitor is properly calibrated? If the image gets darker and lighter as you move your head up and down, or tilt the monitor, you could be seeing the image incorrectly. The histogram is what will be accurate. Here's the histogram for your last post:

Here's a quick suggestion of what I would do with the original you posted, and its corrections and histogram. Note especially that the darks are not so heavy in my correction. I didn't bother with any cloning (in a big hurry right now) but I wouldn't do as much cleanup as you did on the last post. Aalso looks like there is a very OOF leaf making contrast low in the center -- that could be partially fixed with a masked adjustment bringing up contrast in that area.

Don't know why the last figure shows twice -- they're the same -- ignore it. No time to edit now.

Diane did you see that now the tail is cropped on the image you edited?

Great first post! I see the tails on all the posts! I also rather like the thorns... a crop somewhere between the first and second would work best for me. Incredible PP... and thanks for posting the "specs" on it. This is a juvenile Mockingbird? TFS!

The tail is not cropped on any of the images, on my monitor. I think there may be issues with viewing on iPads or maybe some monitors or browsers. Try doing Ctrl-minus to make the image smaller and see if that shows it all. Don't know if it works in all browsers, though. Or just make the browser full screen and make sure there is no horizontal scroll bar. I know I've heard other people say they are seeing a cropped image in a few cases.

I have problems seeing the full images on my monitor at work it is because the monitors reslolution is lower than the site is set up for. A quick way to see the whole image on a pc is press ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel. This zoom the size of the site in your browser. To get back to tge default just press ctrl+0.
