    Effective use of shallow DOF, and I like the not-quite black and white feel of the frame. I would like to see more space at the top of the frame.

    This has a nice soft feel to it.
    I like the diagonal line created by the shore and where you have placed the bird in the frame. Agree on a bit more room up top.
    Did you know you can post bigger? 1200 x 900 and up to 400KB.

    I too could go for a bit more room above, but I like the image a lot. Nice low angle, neat dof due to the body angle relative to sensor, and I also like the one foot in front of the other.
