I'm thankful for my son--my one and only child. I'm flying across the country on Thanksgiving to visit him. No posts until I get back next week.
    I know this isn't a great photo.

The cool blurred whites and grays of the bkgd work perfectly with the sharp details of the white and gray car, all creating a great backdrop for the focus on your son! If you have it, I would add a bit more room on the top and left side as they seem tight. I also like those blurred gray columns in the bkgd adding to the vertical aspect of your son, all easily taking your eyes to his face. Have a wonderful holiday together!

Like Nancy, I'd rather have a bit more room on the top and left, but I do like the photo. It's nice that the blues and grays in the unfocused background echo the foreground colors. I hope you're having a great visit.

Thanks for comments. Yes, it needs more room. This photo was one I used as a snapshot for my journal, but decided to share it here due to the theme. Yesterday, my son and I drove this gorgeous car on 10 miles of an unpaved, muddy, Forest Service road to go for a hike! Some people thought we were nuts. And, of course, they were right. But, it was worth it. :-)

Very nice portrait. I might get rid of the green pass card hanging from the mirror.

Other than that I think it probably portrays his personality very well.

Hope your trip is going well.

Anita, I can see why you're thankful for him - he's very handsome. And the car is gorgeous! I'm glad you're enjoying your time with him.
