    Default A Yellow Wagtail

Clicked this one some time back , really last migration season
    Morning light

I typically don't like the perch, its dried water plants dried on the bank of the waterbody, had clicked 2 frames and today while cleanup of my images saw these and deleted one and decided to process the other

the ruffled feathers really posed me a sharpening issue since the ruffled feathers look more sharper than the rest of the bird to my eye.

    Let me know your views.

    cheers

I like the ruffled feathers, sharpness, light, BG and composition. I wish the OOF part of the perch wasn't there as it catches my eye. Nice image Vishal.

Hi Vishal, I like the overall IQ here, and good DOF on the wagtail. I feel you have the sharpness spot on - the finer plumage will always 'seem' oversharpened, but looks fine. Lovely smooth BG, and the colour compliments the wagtail nicely.

The fluffed feathers look great, beautiful BG, I would remove the halo from under the bill, really nice image Vishal.

    Hi Vishal,
Sweet background and good critical focus. As you mention, the perch may not be the best with some of it OOF, but overall this is a very fine image.

This is really nice Vishal and I am glad you did not delete it. Your sharpening looks fine to my eye.
I love the color palette and the great DOF you achieved. The BG is beautiful and compliments the bird wonderfully,
